PentestPad v1.0 Release

PentestPad v1.0 Releaseimage

Over the past year, we’ve been spending a lot of time and energy into improving PentestPad. What made the biggest difference? Working hand-in-hand with our clients. Their ongoing feedback has been one of the most valuable ingredients in shaping what PentestPad is becoming. (Thank you! ❤️)

Our main goal has been to tackle some of the most frustrating and time-consuming parts of the penetration testing process—areas that slow us down, distract from the technical work, or introduce unnecessary risk:

  • Reporting: Let’s face it—writing reports is where most of the bureaucracy hides. We wanted to automate as much of that as possible, reduce the risk of human error, and actually improve the quality of the final report. All without adding more manual effort.

  • Project Management: Trying to schedule projects around everyone’s availability—especially during the end-of-year crunch—is always a mess. By centralizing project data, schedules, and execution status, PentestPad makes it easier to make quick, informed decisions.

  • Templates: Most vulnerabilities don’t need to be described from scratch. Templates help us stay consistent and efficient. That’s why template support has been a big focus in this release.

  • Retesting: Digging through old reports to figure out the status of past vulnerabilities is painful. With PentestPad, you always have a clear view of the vulnerability status (and history too) for each project—no guesswork required.

  • Collaboration: We need a secure, organized space to share findings, documents, comments, and keep communication open with the client. PentestPad gives us exactly that.

This new release tackles all of these issues—and a bunch of smaller ones too. It’s a step toward making pentesting smoother, more organized, and less painful.

So What’s New?

A Brand New UI

We’ve completely redesigned the interface from the ground up to make your experience faster, cleaner, and more intuitive. The goal? Less friction, more focus, and a smoother workflow from start to finish.

Whitelabel and client's portal

Let clients follow along (securely), see what’s happening in real time and download their reports. Total transparency. Zero inbox overwhelm.

Project Scheduling

A real overview. For real humans. See all projects, team availability, deadlines, and planned vacations in a calendar view that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet from 2004.

Retesting

Because yes, things should work after they’ve been fixed. Run your retests, update the results, and hand over clean, clear retest reports - no extra hassle, no extra documents.

Kanban Project Management

A Kanban board for testers (and your clients). But better. Track progress, blockers, and escalate things to the right person - no Slack storm required.

Vulnerability Views

Every finding. Every project. Reusable vulnerability templates. One clean dashboard to rule them all. Filter, sort, and zoom in on what matters most.

Why? Because the Tools Shouldn’t Slow You Down.

You’re already juggling shadow IT, last-minute patching, late nights, and endless compliance paperwork. The platform you use shouldn’t be another obstacle.

PentestPad is built to actually help—streamlining the reporting, organizing your projects, and cutting down on repetitive work. And with the latest update, it’s even more capable at handling the day-to-day chaos of real-world pentesting.

Ready to See It in Action?

We're live. The new platform is up. Your next project could be smoother, faster, and actually enjoyable.
